What is Imagine Learning?

Imagine Learning is an engaging language and literacy web-based program that accelerates English learning. It is focused on oral language, academic vocabulary, instruction in the five essential components of reading, and strategic first-language support.  


Who can use the program?

It is available to students that have been in the ESOL program for 2 years or less.


How does Imagine Learning help?

  • It utilizes peer modeling.
  • It provides strategic first-language support.
  • It boosts oral language development.
  • It strengthens and develops basic and academic language vocabulary through pre-reading
  • activities and questions.
  • It allows students to experience authentic, rigorous text.
  • It provides engaging content through videos, games, and songs.
  • It differentiates to fill in individual learning gaps.
  • It helps recognize and read sight words and decodable words.
  • It practices fluency with echo reading.
  • It builds comprehension with question answering strategies.
  • It provides the teacher with detailed data on each student´s performance that can be used to direct individualized intervention for that student.

Can my child use Imagine Learning at home?

YES! We encourage using the program at home 4-5 times a week. Our goal is to have the students using Imagine Learning 20 minutes a day. Using it at home will help us meet our goals.


What great things will happen if I let my child use Imagine Learning at home?

In addition to the growth in their language and literacy skills, we will be able to see exactly what areas they are working on in the program.  This will allow us to tailor lessons to the individual needs of each student.


Should I be helping my child on Imagine Learning?

The short answer is no!  As much as we want to help our children with any homework they get, Imagine Learning should really be done only by your child. The program is constantly assessing and placing the student within Imagine Learning curriculum based on their individual needs.  If you help them do the work, we won't be able to see the areas they need support.


How can I access Imagine Learning at home?


COMPATIBLE HARDWARE:

  • Imagine learning works on PCs, Macs, iPads, Chromebooks, Android tablets, and Windows tablets.
  • Imagine Learning is best utilized with headphones (or speakers) and a microphone.



HOW TO LOG IN:

For PC and Mac Computers:

  3. You should be able to scan the QR code on your log in card.
  4. If you cannot scan, enter your account name and password manually.
